COMMENT ABOUT MODELLING CONDITIONAL STRATEGIES

Joe Tomkins, Wade Hazel and myself have just published a comment on a review about polyandry and alternative mating tactics that was originally published in 2013 by Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B - Biological Sciences. In our comment we briefly review the strategic and genetic models for the evolution of conditional strategies, emphasizing that the role of genetic variation for the evolution of threshold traits (or polyphenisms) has been modeled at least since 1990. Our comment can be found here, along with a reply from the authors of the original review.
